      knee pain

so i pulled something in my knee
well, its actually below my knee, not directly in the joint
tried to just keep rolling and hope it would heal...it didn't
I went to the doc, he said its not in the joint itself, just rest and let it heal
so i took the holidays off. 3 weeks no martial arts, no rolling, nothing but normal every day walking and such
and it feels as bad now as it did 3 weeks ago
      no change whatsoever
so im talking to a PT buddy last night and she says i should have seen a lot of improvement in 3 weeks and i need to go see an orthopedist

i don't know what to do
if its going to heal i don't want to waste a bunch of money on visits, my copay is like $25 a pop times 3 PT appointments a week adds up, or surgery
on the other hand i want to get back to working out

my sister is a nurse said its probably a torn muscle or tendon
doc said the burning sensation is usually associated with nerve damage

i just dont know what to do....give it more time, start PT, see the orthopedist (surgery doc)

this morning i pulled it just bending over to pick up the dogs ball to throw

thats kind of the step i am at now
trying to decide if I need to start the whole process
the typical protocol over here is
      1. 2 weeks nsaid
      2. 2 week physical therapy
      3. cortisone injection
      4. MRI
      5. Orthopedist for surgery

due to insurance they don't really waiver from that

I was wondering if the extra GH pulses from the peptides may heal it

Depends on whats wrong with I would think...if its tendon or muscle related then I would say it will help if it the actual joint then I doubt it.

When you say it has got no better of the past few weeks has it worsened or just the same ?

Could the actual process of even walking be slowing the healing process ie not making the injury worse but greatly slowing the recovery process in comparison to being off your feet for a coupe of weeks ?

My thoughts where a knee injury would take quite a while ( months )to heal iirc mine took months and frankly its still not right.

Also I believe even a good physio / orthopedist / nurse can only at best make an educated guess on an injury through diagnostic tests performed externally. Without a clear picture of whats going on inside with the bones and soft tissue it really is just a guess. I learnt this the hard way with my shoulder.

the doc and nurse said the pain is below the joint, so they dont think it is joint damage
the pain is hard to replicate, meaning it hurts when i twist or turn or pull at a weird angle, but i cant do it if i want to
like showing the doc i cant just move it this way or that and have it hurt, but rolling i often have the flares of pain
its not like my calf hurts or my Achilles and you step and it hurts
it is a spot between my fibula and tibia near the top where they connect but below the knee
I was thinking that a physical therapist may be able to locate and identify exactly what muscle tendon or ligament is damaged so i have a better idea whats going on

it could be that i am hurting it walking or even sitting since i cant stretch it out at work

maybe i am just being too impatient

started Physical therapy. The therapist said I have a torn Meniscus
She taps on it where it is torn ans the pain shoots down my leg
going to finish out 2 weeks of therapy and see what the next step is

meniscus is very slow to heal
so i think im going to order some GH and see if that helps
I mean it can't hurt right?

I would go with the cheaper option first....but I am a tight fisted scottish git

You could always rune a few months of each and see how they compare ?
