      Needed.....a bit of advice on games consoles

      Now the last games console i bought was a Nintendo 64 which was obviously a few years ago.

      I am basically looking for some thing to just play games on, am not interested in playing on line and don't need a blue ray player or any really fancy features. just something with good graphics and not overly complicated.

      I will most likely buy a pre-owned one or tesco currently have 20% off all toys and games.
      I was thinking either an xbox 360 or ps3 ?

      Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

      i was looking for pretty much the same.
      in comparison, do you know the graphics on the xbox360 are better than the graphics on the ps3?
      anyways, so many games for the 360, very cheap as well. id go with the xbox.
      we have one here since just before xmas, and have to confess, quite alot of fun.
      we bought something called a kinect as well and the kids love it. the little ones can stroke and play with the animals on it and the older ones can practice there dance moves on it.
      i got a sports demo for it, and could see how you could actually do some decent cardio using just your xbox!

      Xbox us cheaper, but can break easily. I've got a ps3, but for the litle I use it, I don't think it would matter which system I had. I only buy one game yearly.

      Ive had a ps3 and xbox 360 and i sold the playstation to buy another 360. The graphics are very marginally better on ps3 BUT the controller on xbox is more ergonomic and I find the user interface better than ps3 most of all the online stuff work loads better on 360 but i guess thats because you pay for it. Cheaper too
