Does any one have one?
Can I down load ebooks, pdf's and documents on to my laptop and then transfer them to the kindle to read later?
Will I be able to read word documents on it?
These and other questions are sent by an IT challenged individual.![]()

I am still looking around...I want some thing I can take to work so i can read when quite and don't want to lug my laptop about and cant be arsed printing lots of stuff off each day.
Thanks for the info and the offer buddy I will definitely get back to you if I get one.
Which is better Kindle or Nook? My wife has been bugging for a Nook for a while now. She has the Nook reader on her iPhone and loves it.
I would get an iPad.
It just looks fucking sweet and you can do shit loads more than just read books which is the advantage.
But then its your choice
the ipad does everything my wifes phone does except make calls right? that would be awesome
I've never really been a fan of I-phones...i just think they are overly complicated.
However, I do think Apple make excellent laptops![]()
The kindle is way cheaper and really is a different peripheral from a tablet device. I read in darkness of night so i read books on my phone but the kindle can be read in full sunlight so doesn't have the backlit screen. ALthough im told if does have a reading light attached - just something to consider.
